Year 1 Phonics Meeting
Our Academy continually strives to create a passionate reading community. We believe that the key to children’s success is their ability to read. Every child should be able to read for pleasure and to a high standard. We firmly believe that reading feeds children’s imagination and unlocks the joy and wonder for curious young minds. We aim to ensure that every child is given the tools to become an enthusiastic, confident reader.
We would like to invite you to a phonics meeting on Tuesday 17th October at 6.00pm.
At the meeting we will talk about the phonics scheme that is used with your children in Year 1 and also the phonics screening check that takes place in the summer term.
We hope you are able to make the meeting as we will go through strategies to teach early reading and writing which will allow parents to support their children at home. Fill in the below form to confirm your attendance.
