Vision

School vision

"Love one another. As I have loved you." (John 13.34)

At St. John’s, we strive to follow Jesus’ commandment of ‘…life in all its fullness.’ (John 10.10). We demonstrate this by showing care, respect and friendship to all we meet. This is built on a foundation and commitment to educating the whole child through a broad and balanced curriculum, fostering children’s aspirations and providing them with opportunities to flourish, in body, mind and spirit.

School Values

Reverence (Respectful)
Endurance (Resilience. Ready for learning)
Friendship (Kindness to others. Empathy. Mutual understanding)
Koinonia (Community. Keeping ourselves and others, safe)

School Mission

Our school mission can be summed up in three words:

Safe, Respectful and Ready.

Safe

  • Prioritise and follow procedures to ensure the safety of pupils and staff.

Respectful

  • Encourage pupils and staff to establish and maintain positive relationships and understand the value of friendship.

  • Be a community where all pupils and staff are valued, respected and freedom of religion and belief is welcomed.

Ready

  • Find worth in all opportunities to allow pupils and staff to flourish in all that they do to experience life in all its fullness.

  • Support and nurture confidence in the endurance of pupils and staff to face the challenges of school life and the wider world.

  • Value the teaching of R.E and acts of collective worship to create an environment rich with reflection and self-discovery.
