Bench Commemorating Geoff Owen

Everyone at St. John’s has been delighted to see the installation of a new bench commemorating Geoff Owen who was our crossing patrol warden for many years on Hobnock Road. Geoff was extremely popular with parents and pupils who valued his friendly smile each morning and afternoon as he crossed them over the busy road. He was a most reliable person who took the safety and care of the St. John’s community very seriously and he has been greatly missed.

 We were delighted to welcome his daughter Debbie and his grand daughter Charlotte to see the bench recently and we know they saw it as a fitting memorial to Geoff.
