New Water Bottles Information

Dear Parents, 

We hope you have enjoyed the Summer break and that your child is enjoying their first few days back at the Academy.  

We are committed to protecting our environment, and reducing our plastic waste, and with this in mind we are excited to announce that as of today we now have St Johns Primary Academy Branded Reusable Water Bottles which will normally retail at £3 however until Christmas 2019 these can be purchased for the introductory price of £2.50 

These water bottles can be refilled daily from our water dispensers located throughout the Academy and all children will be encouraged to wash these out before refilling. These new bottles will not only reduce the amount of waste from single use plastic bottles but also ensure your child continues to stay hydrated, which aids with concentration. Children at the Academy are encouraged to regularly drink water throughout the day and the new reusable bottles have space to write your child names ensuring that children are easily able to locate their own bottle.  

To purchase a water bottle please make payment via SIMSPay and a bottle will be available for collection within 24 hours, alternatively please pop to the Academy office for a Barcode to make payment at the Post Office or via Paypoint once payment has been received a bottle will be made available for collection from the office.  

Parents can of course still provide their child with their own water bottle, we do however ask that these are a clear bottle, in standard size to fit into our water bottle carriers, and have a sports cap and not a screw top.  

With the new bottles now available, our aim is to remove the sale of single use water bottles over the coming months and we hope that you will support us in our aim to remove these from the Academy.
