Paying our respects #lestweforget

The whole school observe two minutes silence.

On Friday 11th November all of our children impeccably observed the 2 minute silence. St. John's Primary Academy is committed to making sure all our pupils understand Remembrance and the importance of peace and has always supported the British Legion Poppy Appeal. This year poppies and other Remembrance items have again been on sale to pupils and this important topic has been covered in assemblies and RE lessons.

Year 6 pupils attend the Remembrance service at St John's Church, Essington.

Also on Remembrance Sunday,  four of our Year 6 pupils represented the Academy at the Remembrance Service in the village. The two boys and two girls carried a wreath on the parade to St. John's Church on behalf of all our pupils and placed it at the war memorial during the service. The four children were excellent ambassadors for the academy and were proud to take part in this very important event.
